Amoxicillin is used in the treatment of a number of infections, including acute otitis media, streptococcal pharyngitis, pneumonia, skin infections, urinary tract infections, Salmonella infections, Lyme disease, and chlamydia infections. Children with acute otitis media who are younger than 6 months of age are generally treated with amoxicillin or other antibiotic. Although most children with acute otitis media who are older than two years old do not benefit from treatment with amoxicillin or other antibiotic, such treatment may be helpful in children younger than two years old with acute otitis media that is bilateral or accompanied by ear drainage. In the past, amoxicillin was dosed three times daily when used to treat acute otitis media, which resulted in missed doses in routine ambulatory practice. There is now evidence that two times daily dosing or once daily dosing has similar effectiveness. Amoxicillin is recommended as the preferred first-line treatment for community-acquired pneumonia in adults by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, either alone (mild to moderate severity disease) or in combination with a macrolide. It is effective as one part of a multi-drug regimen for treatment of stomach infections of Helicobacter pylori.

The half-life of amoxicillin is 61.3 minutes. Amoxicillin is excreted mainly by kidney and by hepatic metabolism. Its excretion can be delayed by concomitant administration of probenecid. The half-life of amoxicillin i.e. time it takes to body to metabolize 50% of the drug is relatively short, around 1 to 1.5The reported half-life of amoxicillin in newborns has varied considerably by study By the oral administration of equivalent doses of amoxicillin alone. The half-life of amoxicillin after the oral administration of AUGMENTIN is 1.3 hours and that of.

125 mg amoxicillin trihydrate and 31.25 mg clavulanic acid/5 ml (after reconstitution); 200 mg amoxicillin trihydrate and 28.5 mg clavulanic acid/5 ml (after reconstitution); 250 mg amoxicillin trihydrate and 62.5 mg clavulanic acid/5 ml (after reconstitution); 400 mg amoxicillin trihydrate and 57 mg clavulanic acid/ 5 ml (after reconstitution), 600 mg amoxicillin trihydrate and 42.9 mg clavulanic acid/5 ml (after reconstitution) 125 mg amoxicillin trihydrate, 31.25 mg clavulanic acid; 200 mg amoxicillin trihydrate, 28.5 mg clavulanic acid; 250 mg amoxicillin trihydrate, 62.5 mg clavulanic acid; 400 mg amoxicillin trihydrate, 57 mg clavulanic acid For patients with creatinine clearance of 15 to 30 ml/minute, give usual dose q 12 to 18 hours. Clavulanate has only weak antibacterial activity and doesn’t affect mechanism of action of amoxicillin. If clearance is 5 to 15 ml/ minute, give usual dose q 20 to 36 hours. However, clavulanic acid has a beta-lactam ring and is structurally similar to penicillin and cephalosporins; it binds irreversibly with certain beta-lactamases and prevents them from inactivating amoxicillin, enhancing its bactericidal activity. If clearance is less than 5 ml/minute, give usual dose every 48 hours. This combination acts against penicillinase- and non-penicillinase-producing gram-positive bacteria, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Citrobacter diversus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus vulgaris, Salmonella, Shigella, Clostridium, Peptococcus, and Peptostreptococcus. Some clinicians recommend not using drug if creatinine clearance is less than 30 ml/minute. Distribution: Distributed into pleural fluid, lungs, and peritoneal fluid; high urine concentrations are attained. Recurrent or persistent acute otitis media caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, or Moraxella catarrhalis, in children with antibiotic exposure within the last 3 months who either attend daycare or are 2 years old or younger. Amoxicillin also is distributed into synovial fluid, liver, prostate, muscle, and gallbladder and penetrates into middle ear effusions, maxillary sinus secretions, tonsils, sputum, and bronchial secretions. Amoxicillin and clavulanate cross the placental barrier, and low concentrations appear in breast milk. Penicillin (aminopenicillin) Gram-positive: Streptococcus spp., Enterococcus spp., Listeria monocytogenes Gram-negative: H. coli, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp. Exerts bactericidal activity via inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding one or more of the penicillin binding proteins (PBPs). Exerts bacterial autolytic effect by inhibition of certain PBPs related to the activation of a bacterial autolytic process. Penicillins produce time-dependent killing Cmax: 7.5mcg/ml; Oral bioavailability: 80%; Half-life: 1-1.3h; Table 6 anemia, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, agranulocytosis seizures nephrotoxicity, interstitial nephritis transient increases in transaminases Jarisch-Herxheimer Reaction (fever, chills, sweating, tachycardia, hyperventilation, flushing, and myalgia) 500mg po q12h or 250-500mg po q8h or 875mg po q12h Pediatric: Acenocoumarin increased risk of bleeding; Allopurinol higher probablility of amoxicillin rash; Contraceptives - decreased contraceptive effectiveness; Live Typhoid Vaccine - decreased immunological response to the typhoid vaccine; Methotrexate methotrexate toxicity; Probenecid - increased amoxicillin levels; Warfarin increased risk of bleeding Category B: No evidence of risk in humans but studies inadequate.

I've done the search function using multiple phrases and there was one by captain.heroin that explained it pretty well, but I just can't seem to find it anymore. So If anyone (either captain.heroin or someone who's successfully done it before) can give me the exact products, measurements, and technique to IV alprazolam (2mg bars), OR give me the link to where it's been posted before I would much appreciate it. I would prefer to use a solvent that I can buy at a store/pharmacy, not an alcoholic drink. PLEASE do not do this crap, I've done this before and captain heroin probably used what the rest of us who have been stupid enough to think IV benzodiazepines are any better than merely taking your 2mg bars and sticking it under your tongue, which works JUST as well as shooting it, there is absolutely no advantage to intravenous xanax, don't you think it would be a more popular topic of discussion? You can't even find the IV xanax thread you know exists here somewhere. I'm not trying to be rude but just pointing out that there's a reason so few of us are ever dumb enough to use things like a highly dilluted with sterile water or saline for injection, a fraction of it would have to contain something like propylene glycol since 2mg of alprazolam is nothing size-wise. Everytime I have IV'd benzos I used a search engine to look up how the pharmaceutical companies make IV lorazepam and IV diazepam, what they used and they will tell you exactly how much % per solvent & solute. Many things are soluble in propylene glycol, so your inactive ingredients in alprazolam bars still pose a serious threat to your circulatory cardiac and pulmonary health. “So guys, it’s just you and your honey,” she says, in a sultry, British accented whisper. A wide shot reveals that she’s laying in an open-air cabana in a tropical location. But, then, erectile dysfunction happens again, “ she continues, alternatively purring and pouting. “You know what, plenty of guys have this issue, not just getting an erection” – she raises an eyebrow – “but keeping it.”(Crouch 2014) This scene lays the ground work for discussing the ways in which women are portrayed in commercials for Viagra, and how men are not even shown in many of these advertisement currently on air that are aimed specifically to address their biological problem. To discuss how women are portrayed in these commercials we have to take a step back and look at how women are portrayed in all sources of media and advertising. To understand how women are portrayed, think Carl’s Jr. commercials or Dolce and Gabbana cologne advertisements that promise female attention, if we want to look at the most obvious examples. These women are being portrayed as objects that can be consumed as well as the product they’re advertising, using “sex sells” as a ways to get attention and draw in male attention.
